Our three mommas successfully wrapped up their second trimester of classes. The three have begun to feel a bit more at ease with their university’s workload; including homework and other assignments. They enjoyed a two week break between trimesters. We offered them the opportunity to work at Phase II in exchange for money. The three moms agreed to work the first week, and take the second one off to spend time with their kids. They were incredibly helpful in prepping the ground outside of the new building and getting it ready to plant grass. Not only were they a big help to the project, but they also sowed into the ministry that has been a benefit to them. A few days later, the grass arrived and we were able to plant it all around the second building.
Despite the fact that we are in the middle of rainy season, progress is being made on the new four plex for single mothers and their children. Our crew installed the trim work inside the apartments and painted the exterior of the building. The cabinetry is being built and mounted. We are shooting to have the building completely ready by the end of this year.
We recently hosted “Family Day” for the mothers and their children. They participated in a variety of outdoor games. We enjoyed a picnic lunch and then concluded with medals for everyone! It was a great time of fun for all.
Convinced that God is always good. He is forever faithful, and that His plans will prevail!
